Resident of St. Philbert de Grand Lieu since 2017, we have come to appreciate the pleasant lifestyle and the appeal of this commune and its surroundings.

The proximity to the Lac de Grand Lieu, the hikes in the vineyards of the South Loire of Nantes, the Elephant of the Machines of the Isle at 25 minutes, and the Atlantic coast at 40 minutes, make this location an ideal place, between land and sea!

While renovating a part of our house, the idea of creating a gîte began to take shape.

The years passed, and at the end of 2023, we embarked on this new project!

Located in the peaceful village of La Garoterie, near the Boulogne stream, 411 is a charming gîte full of character.

This building, dating back to the 1850s, has been restored as much as possible to its original appearance. We preserved the spaces and elements made of stone, brick, Genoese, and wood to maintain the authenticity and history of this central location.

We are bringing new life to this building, unoccupied since the 1960s, when the floor was still made of beaten earth.

The work will be completed in July 2024, thus opening a new chapter for this heritage.
